If I have a wrist strain, afflicting my movement side to side rather than up and down, and I need to have a brace that can go in the ocean, what would you suggest?
Question by: B on Oct 1, 2010, 12:59 AM
Hello,
Your questions really depends on what you are doing in the ocean. If you plan on being active (Surfing) you'll need a DonJoy CXT & SXT Functional Wrist Brace to limit the motion effectivley.
Remember, you'll need to rinse the brace in fresh water after immersion.

The doctor just put my wife in an A2 wrist brace and we are looking for spares. Are they available in any other color than black? Her skin tone is quite pale (Irish) and she's over-conscious of her appearance.
Thanks.

This item is only availible in Black at this time.
Can you recommend a wrist brace for sewing and skating or should a person have two different ones? I am recovering from a sprain.

What is the proper procedure for cleaning this brace? Is it machine washable? Dryer? Hand wash? Air dry? etc......
Thank you.
Question by: Nancy on Dec 28, 2012, 8:58 AM
Hello, Nancy -
We recommend washing the brace by hand using anti-bacterial soap and water then air drying. We do not recommend putting it in the washing machine or dryer as some of the materials may be compromised or damaged.
Thank you and have a nice day!

I need a brace to restrict my movement up and down. What do you recommend?
I have carpal bossing between my 2nd and 3rd metacarpals on the dorsal wrist and I am trying to avoid surgery. What type of brace would be recommended?
Question by: KC JACE on Nov 12, 2014, 1:08 AM
The Quickfit Wrist II is a good brace that should lie almost at the knuckle areas to give protection and support to the metacarpal bones.
Answer by: Admin on Nov 12, 2014, 1:08 AM
Are there metal stabilizers in the brace? If so, can they be removed and will the brace still be effective? My son has a growth plate fracture and needs support for his wrist after cast removal during football. However, he can not have any metal in the support urging the game.
Question by: Julia on Sep 16, 2015, 6:05 AM
Julia
Yes there are aluminum stays on both the top and bottom of the brace and they can be removed.
