Do these come in short? I am 5 '0" tall so the regular size is way too long for my knee. I did buy one from a dr a while ago and it wasalarge short but i have since lost weight and it no longer fits. If not do you sell any that do come in short? Thanks for yourhelp.
Question by: Rachelle on Nov 27, 2012, 11:39 AM
Hello, Rachelle -

Unfortunately these particular braces do not come in lengths. We do offer a comparable item that is a shorter length (10"), which is the ProCare Clinic Knee Sleeve.

Also, if you're looking for additional knee (patella) support, we also have the ProCare Knee Support with Reinforced Patella (also 10" length).

If you have further questions, you can contact our product specialists at 888-405-3251.

Thank you and have a great day!

What does open/closed popliteal and patella mean? I tore my ACL and had surgery 5 months ago, and I used my patella tendon to replace. Does it make a difference if I get opened or closed, or is it just for style?

Brad
Question by: Brad on Mar 19, 2013, 9:42 AM
Brad, the Popliteal is the space in the back of the leg, where the knee bends. Sometimes if you are bending and squatting a lot the fabric will bunch up in that area and can rub and irritate the skin. Open Popliteal means that the fabric has been cut out of that area to prevent against bunching. It is similar to the opening for the kneecap. The anatomical name of the kneecap is patella. Some people do not like having their patella pressed into their knee. If you are looking for stability and support for an ACL injury post surgery, you should look at the PlayMaker, it is going to lock that femur into place better, because of the extra straps and their configuration, and cause less movement, helping prevent any injury to the ACL more so than the Deluxe will.

I'm trying to order this in XXL with an open pail teal and a closed patella and it won't allow the selection. Why offer it and not allow the selections?
Question by: Rose on Apr 5, 2013, 6:59 PM
Hello, Rose -

An open popliteal is offered as an option, however a closed patella is not an option and is not offered as an option to select. This brace as with a majority of our knee braces are not designed with a closed patella for functional reason. Other than the open popliteal, the only other selections offered are the following:
1. Sleeve vs. Wraparound
2. Drytex vs. Neoprene

Hopefully that clarifies.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I had an ACL surgery recently, where they took out part of my patella. And this product was recommended for me to keep pressure on my knee to keep from hurting at night. But I do have some questions. I see that there is a 3x option but it is not allowing me to choose it when it says select size. Is there any way I can get the 3x size? From reading other things I think I will get the opening in the back for the popliteal so it won't bunch up. But my other main question is should I get an open or closed patella option? Which would work better to keep pressure on my knee to keep from hurting?

Hello,

This product is not available in 3X. You can call Customer Care and do a Special Order.

What is the difference between the patalla cutout and the patallapopltial cutout?
Question by: Bill on Apr 30, 2014, 1:06 PM
Thank you for your question. The Patella cut out refers to the knee cap. There would be a cut out around the knee cap. The popliteal cut out refers to the space behind your knee. A brace that has a patella and popliteal cut out would have a hole both at the knee cap as well as behind the knee.

Does the sleeve come in other colors. I need to wear two and feel conspicuous. Do you have more of a flesh tone.
Question by: ashley on Jul 31, 2014, 3:20 PM
Ashley
It comes in black only

What is the overall length of this sleeve?
Question by: Steve Huycke on Aug 2, 2014, 8:13 AM
11 inches
Answer by: Admin on Aug 2, 2014, 8:13 AM
Do you have one longer than 11 inches available for purchase? I would like to wear it under an ACL brace if possible. I have already purchased the Lycra / cotton sleeve but it doesn't provide much compression.
Question by: John Leverett on Sep 3, 2014, 10:06 AM
John
We do not have sleeves longer than the 11 inches, perhaps the neoprene undersleeve sleeve would give you more compression, although that is not its purpose
