Does the lining come out so it can be washed?
Question by: Mark on Jul 2, 2010, 12:12 PM
Yes. To clean, hand wash with a mild detergent and air dry. Do not place in the washer or dryer, this could damage the aircells in the lining.

I left the instruction manual for this at the doctor's office. How tight should the straps be wrapped? Also, when you turn the knob to inflate do you hear air? Do you have to pump it up with the gray felt bubble as well? Thank you
Question by: Jeri Lord on Mar 26, 2013, 7:28 AM
Hello, Jeri -

A PDF has been sent to your personal email of the instructions of the DonJoy Maxtrax Air Ankle Walker. The straps should be tight enough to secure the ankle walker in place without adding additional pressure to your lower extremity. You will hear the air as you inflate the air bladders, which is inflated by pumping the gray felt button in the front of the boot. The knob does not inflate the air bladders, it releases the air when you turn it counter clockwise. When you turn it clockwise, it closes the cells so that it locks the air in when you pump it up.

I am currently wearing a maxtrax air ankle walker for a broken foot. I see there is different images with the 2 middle straps. One being crossed and the other straight. Should these straps be crossed or not?
Question by: Stacy Lukassen on Apr 20, 2013, 5:17 PM
Hello, Stacy -

With the DonJoy Air Max Trax, the straps at the ankle joint are crossed. All the others go straight across.
