Anatomical Design Helps Realign & Support The Ankle

The AirLift PTTD Brace is designed to provide support for posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD), or for early signs and symptoms of the adult acquired flat foot. Depending on the severity of the condition, it can be used to stabilize the condition and help prevent its degeneration, or post-surgically and during rehabilitation.

The AirLift is designed for easy application and adjustment. The brace uses an innovative rear entry design which allows the patient to slip their foot into the back of the brace. Two straps secure the brace and can be used to adjust fit. These patient-friendly design elements make the AirLift easier to apply than custom braces, eliminate time consuming lacing. We recommended wearing this brace with an athletic or walking shoe as the brace may be slightly bulky.

Product Features…and the benefits you’ll experience!

Aircell Technology
The aircell (located under the foot) accommodates variances in arch shapes and heights to lift the foot arch for a more natural foot position. The aircell has been tested with 2,000lbs of pressure, so it can be worn during sports and other active-related activities.
Easy To Apply
Just slide your foot in and secure the two straps.
Adjustable Inflation
The aircell inflation can be adjusted while the brace is on the foot in order to achieve the perfect comfort level.

Product Questions

Can I use this brace for sports?
Question by: Rich on Mar 26, 2010, 10:41 AM
Yes, the Airlft PTTD can be used for a variety of sports and activities. We suggest walking first to get used to it a bit before doing any heavy activity. This will help your foot get used to the extra support.

Should I wear my regular orthodic in my shoe while wearing this brace? Thanks so much.
Question by: Faith on Jun 8, 2010, 1:52 PM
The Aircast PTTD will support the arch and with an orthotic may be too much support. Best to see how it feels and ask your doctor.
Answer by: Admin on Jun 8, 2010, 1:52 PM
My doctors office told me I could wear the aircast brace in a shoe, but it is much more comfortable wearing it by itself. Is this okay or should i be wearing a shoe over it?
Question by: Kelly on May 27, 2011, 7:02 PM
Hi Kelly,
When you are walking around the house a shoe is not necessary but when you leave the house you will need the added support of a shoe. I recommend using sneakers or Tennis shoes and redoing the laces while you are wearing the anjkle brace. it should be much more comfortable.

Thanks

Does this brace support the arch and the planar. This seems to be a little better than the aircast airheel
Question by: David Montero on Sep 22, 2016, 1:53 PM
The Aircast Airlift PTTD Brace is designed for Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction and flat foot. The Airheel does offer more support for Plantar Fasciitis.

Can the brace be worn during a rigorous workout?
Question by: Katie on Dec 14, 2012, 6:59 AM
Hello, Katie -

This brace is not recommended to be worn during rigorous workouts. It is usually worn post-operatively or during the rehabilitation phase of Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction.

Thanks and have a great day!
