I clicked on the size chart on the elastic ankle support and all it said was measure arounf ankle and not how this relates to s=m=l=xl. Can this be worn over a sweat sock?
Question by: Ed on Jun 21, 2011, 5:47 PM
Hey Ed,
Sorry about that, we will correct the web-site soon. Here are the measurments. And no you do not want to wear this over a sweat sock. The Ankle Support should be worn directly on the foot.
Measurement:
Measure circumference directly above malleolus
Sizing Information
S - 8"-9", M - 9"-9 3/4", L - 9 3/4"-10 1/2"

What size is XL?
Question by: beth on Jan 26, 2013, 8:06 PM
Hello, Beth -
This product does not go to an XL. Large is the largest size that it comes. The size for that is 9 3/4"-10 1/2". You measure the circumference directly above the ankle.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.

How exactly do you measure? It says above the malleus? Is this above the ankle or around the foot (instep)?
Question by: Deb on Apr 24, 2014, 2:11 PM
Thank you for your question. You will start by stepping on the tape measure. Tape measure should be at the base of the heel. Each end will wrap over the ankle bones and across the top of the foot. The ends will meet where your shoe laces tie on the top of the foot.

I broke my left ankle in 3 places a year ago. I have a plate and a pin in the ankle. I have been wearing a wrap-around one-size-fits-all elastic support but am not happy with it. Will this product offer the support I need? I would need a size Small. Thank you for your information.

Nancy
The Elastic Ankle Support is very mild ankle support similar to what you are already wearing. If you want a brace that will give you more support look at the Aircast A2 Ankle Brace https://www.donjoystore.com/aircast-a60-ankle-support-2. the brace pulls on and has two thin plastic stays one on each side for support. It is light wieght and will fint into your shoe to gieve the best support
