Provides Ankle Stability
The ProCare Stabilized Ankle Support comes with a low profile design constructed with non-stretch ballistic nylon for comfort, performance and durability. Lace-up design and trimmable figure 8 strapping locks the calcaneus into place & controls inversion/eversion. A full circumferential elastic strap secures all strapping to provide superior tibia/fibula compression and stability. Removable medial/lateral stays for enhanced proprioception and stability. Fits easily into athletic or street shoe. Universal to fit right and left.

Yes you can wear that to bed, and it will provide some stability
I'm using the ProCare Stabilized Ankle Support, and it's fine, but I want to get something that offers the same or more support and is easier to put on and take off, because my wife often has to assist me when putting it on. Also, the ProCare brace is the only one I've found so far that is long enough to reach the middle of my fat size 14 foot, so a tiny brace won't cut it.
Thanks in advance for your help, sincerely.
The Don Joy Stabilizing Pro Ankle Brace is very similar to the Procare brace you have been using except that it is a more supportive brace than the Procare. It is sized exactly as the procare brace so you can get the same size. https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-stabilizing-pro-ankle-brace Another option is the AirCast Air Sport Ankle Brace. https://www.donjoystore.com/aircast-airsport-ankle-brace This brace is a very supportive brace as well with less straps than the previous brace. The XL should fit you.
With athletic sock on, measure circumference of ankle from base of heel to around ankle.
