Designed for patients recovering from foot, ankle, or lower leg injuries, the AirSelect Elite uses a semi-rigid shell combined with overlapping Duplex aircells to provide a higher level of support and more complete compression coverage. The posterior and distal aircells work with a pre-inflated front panel to create full-contact pressure around the limb, helping manage swelling more effectively while stabilizing movement. An integrated inflation system allows easy adjustment without pumps, while the rocker sole and shock-absorbing heel help guide smoother, lower-impact steps. How To:
Brace Application Guide
PREPARE BRACE – Unfasten straps, remove front panel, and open toe cover and foot flaps.
APPLY BRACE – First, put on sock included with the brace.
While seated, place foot in brace positioning the heel against the back of the brace. Wrap foot flaps over the foot and the toe cover around toes.
Replace front panel: Position front panel so the Aircast logo is over the toes and the foot panel is situated inside the brace. The upper part of the panel should be secured outside the brace.
Secure straps from bottom to top. Tighten until snug and comfortable.
ADJUST AIRCELL SUPPORT – The ELITE walking brace aircells are initially deflated
Begin inflation on injured side first. Turn the SELECTOR found on the right-side of the brace to the appropriate number. Number 1 inflates the aircell on the right-side, Number 2 inflates the aircell on the left-side and Number 3 inflates the back aircell. The “lock” position should be used once all aircells are inflated. This prevents accidental deflation.
To inflate aircell, place finger on top of large inflation pump found on the top right side of brace. Pump until aircell feels snug.
To inflate other aircells, rotate SELECTOR to the appropriate number and then press and release large inflation pump. Pump until aircell feels snug. When all aircells are inflated, rotate SELECTOR to “lock” position.
In the event of over-inflation, deflate aircells.
DEFLATE AIRCELLS – To deflate aircells, turn the SELECTOR found on the right-side of the brace to the proper aircell number.
Press and hold finger on the small release button found on the top right-side of brace.
Deflate until pressure is comfortable.
NOTE: Deflate aircells before removing brace for proper fit when reapplying.
NOTE: Higher pressure provides more support when walking, lower pressure is more comfortable when sitting or reclining. Pressure can also be adjusted by tightening or loosening straps.
