Product Questions

My daughter has had an ACL replacement and is now suffering from pain due to what the doctors are calling runners knee, she plays soccer on her high school team and is very active
She would need something that would allow her to run but still offer some support
Is this the correct brace for that??
Thanks,
Don
Question by: Don on Apr 21, 2011, 9:08 AM
Yes, the reaction brace would be good for that condition. If she ends up thinking it's too much brace, you can try the Donjoy Cross Strap as well.

My knee center measured at 15. My thigh was 20 and calf16 inches. which size knee brace you you recommend? the sizing chart is very vague.
Question by: jess on Sep 14, 2016, 9:49 AM
A Medium/Large would be the correct size for you with the DonJoy Reaction Web Knee Brace.

I am having my meniscus removed because it is unable to be repaired. I have already had 2 meniscus surgeries. The doctors said I will be needed a knee replacement due to arthritis. He is going to scrape as much arthritis out. I am looking for a knee brace that will sport my knee since I won't have the meniscus to soften the walking impact. I am a teacher so I am on my feet a lot. What do you recommend? I want to delay the knee replacement as long as possible.
Question by: Madeline on Sep 14, 2016, 4:58 PM
The OA reaction knee brace would be provide some unloading where your meniscus has been removed to help minimize the effects, while you will still have the shock absorbtion of the webbing similar to the standard Reaction Web Knee Brace.

Im a physical therapist. I would like to know if I position a patella in a desired position, will the brace be able to maintain that position. For example, when I place my patient's patella laterally and inferiorly via taping she no longer has pain during functional exercise. She is sensitive to tape, so I was hoping a brace would achieve the same outcome.
Thank you
Question by: Mary Cornwell on Aug 9, 2016, 9:06 AM
The DonJoy Tru-Pull Lite will do a better job at replacing taping. It will pull your kneecap toward the medial side just like patella taping will do.

Take the measurement of your thigh 6" above your kneecap using a flexible type tape measure. Use the circumference to choose your size.

Note: This product runs small. If you measure between sizes we recommend going up one size for optimum comfort and fit

M/L 18 1/2" - 23 1/2"
XL/XXL 23 1/2"- 29 1/2"
