The Tall Aircast AirSelect Elite weighs 2.27lbs
Answer by: Admin on Nov 6, 2013, 12:07 PM
Doctor San Giovanni, recommended to wear this type of boot for 2 months without removal, after a surgery, but the problem was that they created a Blister in my ankle, and ended up with antibiotics and expensive cream to apply in the wounded are, went to see the Dermatology once a week due to the severe infection. The AirCast must come with instructions just in case, a blister ot other condition to check foot area once a day, specially at night, it should be part of the healing process. Thank you Mara Rejo

I have had a complete foot drop since W.W. II. There is a 100% paralysis of the peroneal nerve, residuals of gunshot wounds, popliteal space, right leg. Would this device be appropriate for my disability, and would there be an opportunity to see it and test it prior to purchase?
Question by: Stephen Ryan on Feb 8, 2014, 5:47 PM
Stephen
This boot will help you walk without a foot drop but it is a bulky boot and not usually used long-term. Another option is the Procare Super lite AFO: https://www.donjoystore.com/procare-super-lite-afo
This goes into your shoe and can be worn daily. We do not have trial period for our products however we do have a 90 day money back guarentee on the BetterBraces Website.

Is the AirCast AirSelect Elite appropriate for triple arthrodesis (bone fusing)? I already own the AirCast Pneumatic from the previous surgery but I'm intrigued with the thinner sole (easier on my back as I walk) and pneumatic massaging feature in the AirSelect Elite to help with swelling and hasten healing.
Also, what is the weight of the AirSelect Elite size medium?
Thank you so much for your time.
Question by: Diane Musser on Feb 17, 2014, 8:29 PM
Thank you for your question. The walking boot can be used in your situation. It is best to seek the advice of your physician before using this. The ideal weight limit for the medium boot is 300 lb.

Two questions:
-Is the "Elite" significantly better than the XP?
-I wear a size 14 shoe and have worn the XP before in a large. It fit well, but my toes stuck out a bit. Is the extra-large a more appropriate size?
Thanks.
Question by: J on Jun 7, 2014, 9:53 AM
The Elite is a lighter boot and the sole of the boot has been re-designed to not be as high and a new non-skid sole. If your toes were hanging off you may need a XL

What boot would you recommend for a stress reaction of the navicular bone? My 11-year old daughter is currently using a MaxTrax Air Walker Boot, but it appears to me that your brand would be better, as she would not have to manually inflate it every time. It also looks like your boot may provide a faster edema relief.
Thanks.
Question by: Irina Gonikberg on Nov 3, 2014, 10:47 AM
The Max Trax Air Walker is our boot as well and will provide the same support and compression as the Air Cast.
