How does the Aircast cooler work? Does it plug in to an electric outlet to pump the water?

Do I need a prescription for this?
Question by: Joe on Jun 9, 2010, 5:16 AM
This Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cooler does not plug into the wall and does not require a prescription. This version uses gravity to transfer cold ice water from the cooler to the pad and back again once the water has warmed up.

There is another version call the Aircast Cryo/Cuff IC that is motorized that uses a pump instead of gravity to push the ice water from the cooler to the pad. This version does require a prescription.

I am looking to replace my knee cryo cuff insulation pad that sits on top of water/ice in cooler. Cannot seem to find that replacement part. Any suggestion?

Do you sell just the connection that goes through the side of the cooler jug. The 1/2" male thread part broke. Would like to purchase just the piece that goes through the side of the jug.

thanks

That is not a replacable part, you would need to purchase a new cooler and tube assembly
Answer by: Admin on Sep 9, 2014, 5:31 AM
The disconnect between the tube and the cuff is becoming increasingly difficult to hook up, are there any recommendations to help?

There is a 6 month warranty on the unit and that is a quality issue that we have been seeing. You can call Customer Care at 800-336 6569 to get the tube assembly replaced if it is under warranty

Had both knees replaced three weeks ago. Hospital fit me up with two aircast coolers and knee cuffs. One is still working well but other is not circulating. When plugged in it sounds like it's working but it is not.

Areas to check? If necessary, how do I seek replacement?

Don
Make sure you are draining the knee pad when it doesn't feel cold anymore. If you have been using it for a while and the motor is turning off and on but it won't stay cold, and you have drained the knee pad instead of trying to add more water to it, you can get it replaced by taking it back to where you got it. It has a six month warranty

What is the recommended method to clean and store the air cast cooler when not in use.
Question by: Lisa Murphy on Sep 7, 2015, 7:05 AM
Lisa
Clean the cooler with a 10% bleach water soloution and let air dry. Then just store in the box if you still have it
