I'm between L and XL on the size charts - knee 17 1/2" - thigh 22 1/2" - calf 18". Which size should I get?
Question by: Mike on Sep 24, 2010, 6:45 PM
Hello Mike,

I recommend going with the XL size and adjusting as needed.

Can this be worn when running? How about for a marathon?
Question by: Marv on Oct 15, 2010, 1:26 PM
Hello Marv,

As long as the brace is a proper fit, it can be worn while running.

DOES THE TRU PULL LITE BRACE HAVE REPLACEMENT STRAPS MY STRAPS DOESN"T HOLD ANYMORE
Question by: AL CUNNINGHAM on Dec 12, 2010, 9:01 AM
Hello Al,

There are no replacement straps, but the brace does have a 6 month warranty. Did you obtain this brace from us? If so, please email us @ returns@betterbraces.com with your order number and I'll be happy to process the replacement. If you did not obtain this item through us and it is still under warranty, please return your item to the facility that provided it for a replacement. They should handle the exchange for you.

I am having pain below my knee cap and general soreness after a day of skiing. Long ago I had problems with my patella and am wondering if this would be a good brace to give me some additional support on the slopes. I do not want a brace that is too long as I have shorter legs and do not want something that goes into my ski boots.
Question by: Kim on Feb 7, 2011, 6:17 AM
Hello Kim,

The DonJoy Tru-Pull Lite will assist in stabilizing the patella only. If that is all you need or want in a brace then this is a good choice.

If you'd like to add stability to the leg as well, you'll need hinges as well as stabilization:

I have a level 4 "runners knee" and am looking for a wrap around brace that comes in an x large that doesn't go up on the thigh but still supports my misaligned knee. Hoping to find one that stays in place!
Question by: Kathleen on Mar 24, 2011, 8:52 AM
The Donjoy Reaction Knee Brace sounds like it would be a good brace for you. You can find that knee brace here: https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-reaction-knee-brace

i am a 16 year old and i was a gymnast for 12 years and now recently switched over to competitive cheerleading im and active tumbler and have dislocated my knee numerous time and have had multiple surgerys and it still dislocates with a knee brace on. will this stop it from further more dislocation or just a maybe
Question by: Amanda Garrett on May 6, 2011, 12:30 PM
The Tru-Pull Lite is indicated to prevent lateral patella dislocations and many female athletes like this product because it's shorter in length and stays up well. Let us know if you have any other questions.

My daughter wears the L1810 which has helped her tremendously. What is the best way to wash it?
Question by: Lynn on Aug 18, 2011, 7:10 PM
Handwash with mild detergent and airdry.

Im unsure what size to order. My knee center is at most 12.5 , 12 calf, and near 16 on my thigh? Im afraid the Xsmall will be too tight, but worried the small will get loose. Would the xsmall stretch with time. I have a hard time fitting braces bc they are all too big. I have a patella strap that is a x-small. I really need a good brace and I like how this one is not huge and bulky. Thank you for your time.
Question by: Rachel Clark on Sep 3, 2011, 1:44 PM
I would suggest going with the size Small. It will fit much better than the XS, this brace fits fairly snug, so the XS will be very uncomfortable.

I am a distance runner and I was just told I have a torn meniscus. I am still able to run without too much pain, but I am looking for support during my long runs to prevent further injury. I need something that will move with me while running. Would this be the best brace?
Question by: Jenifer on Nov 9, 2011, 4:01 PM
NO this product is for patellofemoral (knee cap) conditions, not for meniscus. I'd recommend the Donjoy Hinged Knee or Economy Hinged knee for your condition and activity level.

Hi there
I dislocated my knee approx 6 months ago and still am unable to run without pain. I play Australian rules football so there is a lot of contact and running.
I am worried about dislocating it again and have been advised to get a brace. Which brace would you recommend and why out of the Tru-pull light and the Tru-pull Advanced?
Question by: Brendan on Jan 19, 2012, 12:38 AM
The TruPull Lite or Reaction knee brace would be recommended for your condition and activity level.
