i had foot surgery. My orthipaedic doctor prescribed the ankle walker to protect metatarsal pins. After 3rd week and removing surgical bandages boot seems to be too large. My shoe size is 8 and this boot is size Large...should I resize it? Or would it be enough to reduce size through insert pads? I can do heel weight bearing now, but it is impossible to do that with the bot since flexing heel upwards is too rigid with boot on. I sleep with boot, shower with boot (covered). Should I resize it??

If your fott is a women's 8 you should be in a medium boot., or a small They might have put you into the large because you were swollen? You are most definatly in a boot that is too big for your foot.

I have the xceltrax ankle boot that has 4 pads, where are these pads to be positioned. One of the straps over the foot rubs on my skin, can I put one of the pads there?
Question by: Judy on Mar 10, 2015, 11:41 AM
Judy
those pads can be used for extra padding where you feel you need it so if you are getting rubbing under that one area you can add a pad to cushioin it better.

Can I get a new liner for the Xceltrax ankle/foot boot? The boot is for my right foot and I have to take it off to drive and put back on (safety first), but due to the flimsy liner material the Velcro has deteriorated it such that the inner foam is now exposed. I had to buy a new boot from the doctor because they didn't have replaceable liners. This is a bad design for people who have to wear the boot for extended periods.

To order the replacement liner for the Procare XcelTrax Ankle you will have to contact DJO Global, we do not carry the liners for this boot. Please call 1-800-336-6569.

I have lost use of my right. I can move very little and my foot turns under at my ankle. Do you think this may help? Seems to me it might with the ankle support. Thank you. Xveltrax ankle

Hi, I just received this brace for a toe issue on the ball of my foot. The seam on the liner is painful since it is hitting right under the ball of my foot. I am a size 10 mens shoe and they gave me a Medium brace. Should I get a Large or do you have longer liners?
Thanks
Question by: Dan on Aug 16, 2016, 9:20 PM
We do recommend you wear a sock to help. The med-ium is the correct size, and unfortunately we do not carry the liners, you would need to purchase directly from DJO Global at 1-800-336-6569.

I'm short, 5 ft tall and have wide calves. How high is the shaft of the boot? I've tried a few boots, but they hit me in the middle of my calf and are uncomfortable to wear. But I need one for post surgery. Do you have anything that will help? I wear a size 6.5-7 shoe.
Thanks.
Question by: Barb on Aug 30, 2016, 8:39 PM
You would wear a size small in this particular ankle brace. This brace is also available in tall if you are worried about it not being tall enough to support your ankle. https://www.donjoystore.com/procare-xceltrax-tall
