Regardless of the severity, sprained ankles are a very painful injury that can occur during sports and daily activities. Ankle sprains are classified by "Grade". When you sprain your ankle your doctor will tell you if your ankle sprain is Grade I (mild ankle sprain), Grade II (moderate ankle sprain), or Grade III (severe ankle sprain). Based on the severity of your sprained ankle, you will be able to choose the right ankle support for your injury.
