what function does the shiny patent leather looking stuff do ? Are it adjustable or fixed? Cant' really tell by the blow out depiction .
Question by: ouchie on Mar 25, 2015, 3:47 PM
Ouchie
The silicone on the outside of the sleeve provides more compression than the sleeve alone and also provides pain relief. It acts like kinesio taping. The silicone is not adjustable

I had surgery on my knee for a partially dislocated patella. Is the TriZone knee brace good for that or should i try another brace

I would suggest a brace that will support the kneecap a little better such as the Tru-Pull Lite. This brace will support the kneecap and make sure that your knee cap tracks normally. https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-tru-pull-lite

I have pain in my femoral patella tendon from an injury when I over bent my already damaged knee. I used to play hockey and can barely skate now due to the pain and instability. Will this sleeve help with everyday soreness while working construction?
Question by: Ray on Mar 28, 2015, 6:45 PM
Ray
The Trizone will offer compression of the knee and relief from mild pain around the kneecap. It will not offer and structural protection, it may help your everyday soreness

I am a 40 YOM recreational Ironman triathlete and have dealt with a lot of overuse injuries. I was recently diagnosed with medial plica syndrome and generally have continuous achy pain on the medial side of both knees and sometimes it radiates to the kneecap. I have been waiting for a more athletic brace to come out and I think this brace could help, what do you think?

The Trizone will provide compression and relief to anterior knee pain and it is light weight and low profile. another option for anterior knee pain is the Reaction Web Knee Brace. this brace is specifically designed for the active person who suffers from anterior knee pain. https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-reaction-knee-brace

i had acl reconstruction and injured my MCL as well. will this work or what product can you recommend? thanks

Don
The Trizone knee sleeve will provide compression to the knee and help reduce anterior knee pain but will provide no stability for the ACL and MCL. If you want to provide protectioni for the ACL and MCL you will need a hinged knee brace. The Playmaker II would be the lowest profile brace for minimal protection. A rigid knee brace such as the FullForce ligament knee brace would be the ideal brace for someone who is very active. https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-playmaker-ii-knee-brace

I have chronic knee instability with osteoarthritis ( torn PCL, ACL, lax LCL). I had a high tibial osteotomy HTO) about 8 years ago for the OA pain. Before I can have a knee replacement the HTO hardware needs to be removed. In the meantime I need a brace to help with the OA pain. While I get some relief with a basic neoprene sleeve (with patella opening) I would like to find something better. Would this or another product be helpful?

Thanks,
Sandy
Question by: sandy on Apr 24, 2015, 9:06 AM
Sandy
The Trizone will only provide compression similar to the knee sleeve that you are already using. If you have pain on just one sid eof the knee you could get one of our unloading braces. https://www.donjoystore.com/knee-braces/arthritis-knee-braces If you just want something to give you general support for the knee then I would suggest a hined knee brace such as the Deluxe Hinged Knee https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-drytex-neoprene-deluxe-hinged-knee-wraparound-sleeve

I have a torn PCL in my left knee. I experience a lot of knee pain around my patella tendon and in the back of my knee. Also some pain right above my knee. Would the TriZone knee support help a lot for this and allow me to keep throwing shot put and discus
Question by: Ryan on Aug 10, 2015, 3:21 PM
Ryan,

The DonJoy Performance Bionic Knee Brace, https://www.donjoystore.com/bionic-knee-brace would offer more support for the PCL issue, and give you some support around the kneecap with the buttress.

A brace that will give you general knee support is the Deluxe Hinged Knee Brace. https://www.donjoystore.com/donjoy-drytex-neoprene-deluxe-hinged-knee-wraparound-sleeve This brace will not replace the kneecap but will give you general support.
